Hardware Modules for CSP System
Thus far the following types of hardware module have been designed and used:
- General purpose hardware module. The module has been
developed to assist the usage of the system in laboratory
trainings of Bachelor/Masters students at the Faculty of
Automatics, Technical University - Sofia.
The module has the
following characteristics (photos of the module will be posted
shortly):
- 16 Digital Inputs.
- 16 Digital Relay Outputs.
- 8 Analog Inputs.
- 4 Analog Outputs.
- Specialized hardware modules, some example module
configurations:
- 32 Digital Inputs.
- 32 Digital Outputs.
- 4-8 Analog Inputs with high speed Analog to Digital Converters.
- 4-8 Analog Outputs.
- SPI communication module (simulation of SPI communicating
device)
Depending on client requirements custom hardware modules can be
designed and produced. Up to 256 hardware modules can be
connected to a single Interpreter program, connection can be
either through local serial connection (USB/RS 232) or through
network communication. The maximum number of IO ports one
hardware module can carry has not been defined.
In case the client needs the control programs to communicate
with existing hardware (produced by third party vendors) we can
develop the needed components and provide an update to the system
so that the hardware can be used.
