The purpose of this system is gatherin data from PLC controlers and storing them in a data base. Once data has been gathered in the database, it can be used for simulation of the process, which can be applied for improving the quality of the synthesized control algorithm. This system allows for reproduction and analysis of all actions taken by the system operator or other external factors. This capability allows for postmortem analysis of what caused any system malfunction, the stored data can assist analysis in determining if the system operator has had any fault for the occurance of the problematic condition. Main targets for the system are: increasing the data points per second stored in the database, guarantee of real-time characteristics of the stored data, minimizing data loss and decreasing the memory requirements for storing the retrieved information.
